I just buy a e-prom, how do i know which e-prom to buy?

What program is initially loaded on the e-prom or does it come pre loaded with a base tune?

Is TUNER PRO RT capable of manipulating the e-prom?

What about the rotary switch i am assuming that is for different tunes stored on the same e-prom?

go to moates and buy the autoprom, that's what i have , it will read, write, datalog and emulate. around 330 bucks....

Does the Autoprom work with TunerproRT, so you are still using one program for writing and datalogging?

If you are only playing with one car and have no need to burn chips then can buy the Ostrich . $175

http://www.moates.net/product_info.p...roducts_id=169

You unplug the stock chip , plug in the cable to the
Ostrich (emu-lator ; get it? ) and install it somewhere under the dash. A USB cable hooks it up to your laptop.

Using TunerPro , you make whatever changes you want to your tune and download on to the Ostrich. The Ostrich then runs that tune on the ECM. Whenever you want to change something you just plug your laptop in and go; can even change as you are driving( preferably someone else at the wheel.) Can have multiple tunes on your laptop; one for economy and one for the track. Just load them up as needed .

I have mine setup with the USB cable installed so all I have to do is just pull the cable out to hookup.
When you sell your car you just get someone (slickfx3 ?) to burn your final tune onto a chip and remove the Ostrich for use elsewhere

Sounds pretty easy?? The tune on the fly is what really interests me, I guess i better get with it and learn how to datalog first.

Thanks Guys!!
