identification help
Would someone please identify this item for me. I have a 69 vert and found this under my drivers side dash. It appears to be spliced to an orange and white wire that I believe was for my courtesy light. Does this look like a courtesy light socket on a c4?

No. Looks (to me) like a generic GM side marker lamp bulb socket - something from either a bone-yard or a parts store "help" rack.
It Is a simple way to get a 194 (or compatible) bulb, could be added in as an additional footwell lamp. To my knowledge GM never used such a bulb as in interior or courtesy lamp - there is no holder or bracket for such.
