security feature 85 vette

can someone tell me how to disable the security feature for this 85 vette....

you mean the door locks or the ignition switch?

has to be the door locks, i think. the ign. switch doesnt have any thing to do with the security on this year model or does it??

honking horn and if i keep messing with it the starter enable will activate. i can pull the battery cable off to reset it then it will turn back over. just cant get the security light to go off.

I don't have any 85 info, but your problem sounds like the door switch or your not arming disarming it correctly.
Is this a recent purchase or a new problem ??

I have an 84 & had the same problem, The horn was sounding all the time & the security light was on solid.. I checked the whole security system & it turned out to be the anti theft module...

When you turn the ignition off the security light should blink,
Reminding you to set the alram.. If not blinking good chance it is the Module..

You should start with the door switches, Make sure they are doing there part.. If you don't find any issues there, I would assume it is the module..
