I picked up a used C4 rear "bumper" at a flea market. I'm going to just hang it up for decoration in the garage. I want to put in the tail lights so that I can flip them on from time to time. No lamp holders were included. Is the lamp holder from a C4 (I'm guessing it's about an 87) interchangeable with other GM models? I'm trying to source the lamp holders and it will be easier if they were a standard part that I could easily find. Any suggestions appreciated.
The bulb holders are a GM standard socket. Any parts store should have them.
But that requires a 12v source to use them. The tail lamp housing should be flat where the socket is inserted. You might think about gluing a piece of flat plastic to the housing and drill a hole that would accept a small bulb and socket from something like a night light or a socket cut out from a Christmas tree light set. That way you can just plug a cord into a wall socket and add an in-line rotary switch or hide a toggle switch above the license plate opening.

If I were able to find a complete taillight wiring harness, does the wiring end in a positive/negative connection that I could just connect to a DC converter positive/negative, or would that not work?
