Default Fuel injectors

I've got a 94 LT1 auto, I don't think the injectors have ever been changed. It's got 107 K on it. It runs fine, but, I'm planning on several road trips this summer. They will be 2 or 3 K each.

Should I change the injectors? I plan on taking an extra fuel pump and gasket, as I figure the pump hasn't been changed either.

What's the best plan?

Take a good credit card, a AAA card, a used serpentine belt and a cell phone. Don't change out equipment thats okay.(my injectors have over 165,000 miles)

Agree with runner, If it ain't broke don't fix it. However a complete inspection to find any questionable parts would be wise. A day and a few bucks spent now will be better than a break down on the road that could have been prevented.

drive it. You can ohm out the injectors with your mutimeter to make sure they are in spec.

I would ohm all of the injectors first. Then read my thread here:http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...long-read.html

If you happen to change your injectors, two things will happen on your trips. One, your Vette will start and run much smoother so as to make the trips more enjoyable. Two, your fuel mileage SHOULD increase, which would be important with so many miles. If you can keep your foot out of it! I have found myself accelerating a little faster because it is so much fun!

I agree with all previious posts. IF you feel the need or find that injectors need to be replaced don't do anything until you talk to Jon at FIC. He is a contributor to this site Very knowledgeable and will not sell you anything unless he feels it is necessary. believe it he calls back on Saturday afternoons to see if there is any problems with install etc.

You will not find a better business anywhere (including mine).
