If the distributor as been installed correctly simply disconnect the ESC connector and use your timing light while someone else cranks the starter to ensure that it is between 4 - 6 BTDC. You may have to goose the throttle to get the car to idle/start. Reconnect the ESC connector to restore the advance. If you messed with the IAC you may need to do a "reset " if you have "hunting" idle issues.
