Need to glue the metal edging around the plastic top. What type of adhesive should I use? I know some types don't agree with the plastic.
Thanks, Don S.

You need to be more specific.

It is the plastic removalble roof panel and it has metal edging around 3 side of it. It has came loose and needs to be reglued.
Its a 1986 but don't know if panel is from that year. I'm sure that it takes a special type of adhesive to attach this.
Thank you, Don S.

the acrylic is delaminating from the frame, don't do it. The glue will come off eventually and the top could fly off while you are driving, causing serious damage to someone, you don't want that.

Melrose will reglue the top properly if you send it to them, otherwise you are taking a big risk. Just my opinion ;-)

It is not the frame of the acrylic that holds it to the body. It is a metal extrusion ( u shape to fit over the edge of the acrylic--3/8" by1/2") it fits around the front and both sides. Maybe I an the only one who has this type of top.
Thanks, Don S.
