I sent you a pm on C5 brake adapters. I just got the C5 grakes installed on my '87, and it now stops as good as my Z06. I used hawk HP+ pads. I bought NAPA rotors ($30 each) even though I have a new set of drilled/slotted baer accelarotor rotors in the box, but since I'm planning on a HPDE I didn't use them for fear of cracking. Ed
I upgraded my 86 to C5 brakes as well.
Best bang for the buck. With some creative horse trading, I got new front brakes for $58 buckaroos plus some shipping. I made my own adapter plates though.....
I can recommend Baer 2-piece rotors. They have aluminum hats for some weight savings. Sometimes you can find them on sale or used. The people at Baer are easy to work with also. I bought a set off ebay from a vendor and they ended up having front hats instead of rear. After jacking around with the ebay vendor I called Baer and they traded me the correct hats for no charge. I thought that was pretty good customer service.
