I'm considering Slotted Brake Rotors for my 95' It's only a Daily Street Driver. And Secondly,If it is worth it,What is the Best Brand to Buy for the Money.?
The slotted rotors are mainly for looks (cooling not an issue) on a street car and will not affect your braking. So if you like the look, get the slots. If you have sawblade wheels it doesn’t mater…..does it. But if you have the custom wheels, go for the look.
The best investment I've made in my brakes so far, has simply been maintenance. I installed a set of Hawks HPS pads, new rotors all the way around (not fancy, but stock rotors provided by mid america) and then flushed the system refilling it with dot 4 brake fluid.
It stops very well and doesn't seem to have much, if any fade for my purposes. I do have the J55 option though, if you do as well, that is all you really need.

Don't waste the money on slotted rotors unless you really drive that car hard. Most owners don't so its not worth it. You braking limitations are going to be that theres no air ducting cooling the brakes and second the brake fluid. You could argue which comes first. Simply if you want to spend the money thats great have a blast, but it you aren't using the brakes to thier max potential slotted rotors won't do anything for you.
