Well got the car running this weekend and just got back from tom wong's shop to do some tunning and a couple of dyno pulls. All I can say is WOW!!! This thing pumped out 648 RWHP and 554 FT-lb of torque on his dyno after a little bit of tunning. It had over 500 ft-lb's of torque starting @ 3500 rpm's. I still have the stock miniram on it and now am not sure if I really need more power from a good intake? Just thought I would give a quick update I need to go change the oil now.http://s250.photobucket.com/albums/g...dynosheet2.jpg

Are you kidding me? unreal! That's insane!

Can you please fill me in on Tom Wong's shop? I've read a lot of threads in the past, and members getting his help for mild to wild mods... does he have a website?

did these numbers include the nitrous (I'm guessing not).

Very nice numbers...

I really like the 500+ WTQ from 3500 - 6800RPM. Very nice.

Now imagine that 461 SBC with a bit of boost on top...

I guess what they say about size has just been proven. So have you gotten the grin off your face yet? Please be advised thetoy has been changed to The Toy Man!! Are you still running the 270/280 cam? If so, how has the idle sound changed? And yes you do need to change the intake, there is 35 cfm of air that is just waiting to be set free, you just don't have to rush. Congrats

The cam in this one is smaller than the last cam I used and Idles great at 900 RPM's. This thing exceeded all my hopes of power and I still get a grin on my face every time I think about it.

i wonder with a set of 18 degree or 15 degree heads would yield? Possibly a bigger cam? I mean these numbers are totally on par with equal displacement LS-x's

BTW, I talked to TJ for about 20 minutes, great guy! I didn't expect him to call me as I had emailed him to discuss a few combinations for power in the same range as "thetoy". Pretty cool to just chat with him.

It TheToy was to change to 15 / 18 degree heads the cam profile would have to change and the intake would have to Manosized. I am not sure the miniram would actually support the flow after it has been overhauled, The port would flow around 410 but the plenum is not big enough to support the eight flowing at the same time. That would make a nice test of the plenum. On my 434 with 15 degree heads, the miniram was cut and overhaul, it lost 4 cfm at peak flow, head 340 cfm at .650 minram & heads 336 cfm at .650. If back then the Edlebrock BOX STYLE INTAKE ELBOWS was out, I would have used it with an 18 degree intake.

Hey Toy Man did you check out the post on yellow bullet?

I am completely aware that the cam and intake manifold would need to be changed, but also the headers (since the 18/15 degree profile would also alter the angle of the exhaust ports.

it would just be cool to see if there is anything left in the package.

what did your 434 make (not to go too off topic).

Yeah sounds like you could try a ported out raise runner carb manifold converted to EFI to get some more flow to those heads... elbow design however will determine power from there on out as some designs dont make power from what i've seen from some lsx guys posts. COuld do a MPFI style TB and open element air filter like a carb setup.

Either way those are incredible numbers. What tranny is that through?
