I just came home to Ala from Florida only drove about 250 miles or so. Everything was going fine down the highway. I was doing 90 or so when I got into town my transmission wouldnt shift until about 3000-4000 in any gear. I have a set of 3.73 gears with about 1500 miles on them but this is the first long cruise I have had with them. Is it the Torque Converter that took a poopie or the tranny?? Need to know quick I have to be back in Florida on monday!!!!! :(
Re: Need help quick Stupid Transmissions!!! (Glock'94)
I'm in the same boat as you bro!!!!! No it doesnt shake adn pulls fine but it just doesnt shift in any gear until 3-4 grand... I jacked it a few minutes ago and there is fluid coming out of teh weep hole in the bellhousing and from somewhere else unsure from where dont know but its definately leaking from somewhere. :mad :mad Any ideas for a rebuild kit and a TC??
Re: Need help quick Stupid Transmissions!!! (93Zeus)
It looks as though I am going to go with either a pro-built kit or TCI. Has anyone used either and if so how are they? And it looks like maybe a yank 2600 converter.

can i use the i hate tc and tc hate me line??? :D
That's definitely not good. I noticed fluid coming from the same spot on mine :(. I'm pretty sure my TC is so screwed that the rattling noise I thought was an exhaust problem or shake is actually a fin or two inside the TC that has come apart and it bouncing around in side there. I wouldn't be surprised at all if it has put a hole in the damn thing and it's leaking out because of it.
And yes, IF and ONLY IF it's your TC, you may use my line ;)
Re: Need help quick Stupid Transmissions!!! (93Zeus)
Are you sure it’s not just a TV cable problem. Mine went out of adjustment and was shifting at 4000 cold and 2000 hot. In all gears. Mines a 93 but after it was adjusted everything was fine. Oh... Also I lost my drop down...
What year is your car?
Did you have any work done to it?
Anyway just a thought before you crack the bell housing.
