Default Radiator Replacement

Any input on radiator replacement? Stock vs. aftermarket all aluminum, is it worth the extra money?

Unless you have a very modified engine it's hard to justify the cost of an aftermarket rad. A stock replacement rad is only $220.

I just replaced the raditor in my 90. The Delco stock replacement was $197 at A-Line Parts. Took about 2 hours to install. Piece of cake. The hardest thing was draining the old coolant...

I just replaced mine for $130 (shipped) from http://www.radiator.com. It is the SAME quality as the stock ones. Aluminum tube w/ nylon tank.

Thanks for the info, $157 + shipping from radiator.com, $196 from a local Auto Zone for a GM replacement.

I had a stock replacement put in mine. I asked about the expensive aftermarket ones, but was told unless I was makin 500 HP, the stock one would do fine. What a diff in cooler temps with a new rad. The old was clogged, and the side plastic had expanded from an overheat during the summer.
