I have the "sawblade" factory wheels on my recently acquired '93. I bought new tires almost immediately upon getting it home and it just hit me - the "sawblades" aren't turning in the same direction, so I assume one pair of wheels is mounted opposite of where it belongs...... two questions:
1. Which way SHOULD they go? ( a pic would be greatly appreciated).
2. I've put about 400 miles on these tires. Assuming say the front ones are reversed, if I just flip them (left for right, right for left) will the fact that they've been driven a couple of hundred miles significantly impact my tread wear? Thanks....
Most factory wheels are designed to pump the air from the inside of the wheel to the outside, looking at the direction the blades spin will tell you. One of the drawbacks is all that brake dust that winds up on the outside of the wheel. They are designed that way in order to vent the brakes while the car is moving forward.
The tires and wheels should be unidirectional..at least mine are..the tires and wheels both have direction indicators on them.. Your picture shows the left rear wheel appears correct..
My wheels are 95s. So I don't know about 93..
