Default Lil bench racing...

I was just wondering about what HP a certain setup would get. I would love one of those programs where you input the engine info and it gives you approximate values but IDK where to find them.

So on a 10.5:1 427 stroked 400 sbc with AFR 195 comp port matched to a highly ported HSR and a matched cam what would be my HP and TQ.

I want crank numbers as thats what I will get it dynoed at the first time when I eventually build it.

I was hoping for 525-550 with a HR cam spinning to 6200-6500rpm.

Comp cams has a free program you can use that helps you select one of their standard cams.

Your combo is similar to an LS7 which is rated at 505hp at 7000rpm. The LS7 heads with the cathedral ports are more efficient than the AFR heads.

I understand that. But with full exhaust, better cam, and UD pulley I can net 525bhp. The LS7 is also considered underrated.

i have a 383 that makes a little more than that with a similar flowing heads to the 195 eliminator comps. but i am 12.3:1 compression and a 245/253 with 612/612 on a 107. so i am sure with the right cam and intake it would be fairly easy. 88blackz51 is building almost the same engine.. but i don't know how long it will be till he is tuned. but he is expecting 550-600hp
