Ok I did a search on this to start with just wanted to know if it could be some other things causing the problem. From what I already knew and from searching it is the u-joint or u-joints. When driving on say a highway the car shakes but gets better when you are accelerating on a straight away how ever when you go into a turn or let off the throttle it starts again. Also when I back up it makes a clicking noise witch I read something about some washers. Any ideas or opinions are much appreciated.
Yes I read that about the washers also.
Hows your wheel bearings??
Thought about the bearings also. I have not tore anything apart yet I wanted to see if there were anything else that I am missing. I figured I would just replace everything related to this while I had it apart. I have not had this car that long so alot of people on here know more about the car than I do.

Find a good alignment shop and have them check your alignment.
I know on my 92 I tried a set of unbalanced tires and my front end tried to shake off the car. I've rebuilt the entire front and rear suspension (poly bushings, new ball joints, tie rod ends, etc). I also replaced all 4 hubs.
It is probably not u joints. It sounds like something loose in the front end.
Damn I did not even think about it coming form the front. I heard that noise from the back and it had signs of a u-joint so I just figured. This is why I asked.
I bought mine with 2300 miles on it in 95 (six weeks old) and it shook like crazy at highway speeds. Turned out the two left side wheels had lateral run-out that exceeded factory specs. Three different dealers were unable to diagnose this problem, which is probably why the car was sold six weeks after it was purchased new. Euro Tire in Fairfield New Jersey figured it out for me. Both wheels were replaced under warranty, which cured most of the shaking problem. These cars tend to shake under certain conditions even when everything is up to spec. The car shakes with the roof panel off. If the car sits for a week, the car shakes on the highway until the tires warm-up and get round again. If you're cornering hard at speeds above 40-50, and the inside (unloaded) front wheel hits a bump, the steering wheel will shake momentarily (Koni sport shocks cured 90% of this in my car). The ticking sound you hear likely relates to the rear-hub/washer issue and will not cause shaking. U-joints and wheel bearings will create more of a vibration feel/noise sound, than shaking.

Yea I have experienced all of those ( tires sitting, top out, and steering wheel shutter) . Looks like I will just put up on stands and check everything. Maybe even do some up grades. I drove it today and it is real smooth under 50. I will look it over and post up what I find.
