My engine is torn apart !!!!!
Yes !!!!!

The party just begun !!!!!

Today, the head/intake removal process is done,to make way
into a cool set of AFR195 heads ,Breath better with a Lingenfelter Super ram and energized by a Lingenfelter 219 Camshaft and a set of Crane Cams Gold series 1.6 Roller Rockers plus 1 5/8 Hedman Long tube headers.-

I gave away all the heads bolts,i will buy a new set of ARP ones
is there a specific model / type of bolts i should use ?
All advices are welcome !

Here i want to share with you guys what's going on

First thing i took away runners and fuel rail,on its place a cool set of 24 pounders from http://www.fuelinjectorconnection.com will rule !

Bye Bye TPI

Accidentally i destroyed the 9th,Cold start injector pigtail...but i won't use that with the Super Ram..

Looks like you have been busy. If you have a shopvac they are great for sucking the debris out of the cylinders and lifter valley.

Thanks !!!!!
Jack, yes i did clean after the pictures but there was little silicone that fell off when i dismounted the the base, engine was pretty clean !

Thanks J ! Yes im expecting to get huge gains,my current setup was :
128 heads+stock tpi+zz4 cam+stock rockers
im going :
afr195s+Superram+LPE219cam+1.6rollerrock ers+Longtube headers+CustomChip
and i will add the 24 pounders and the Adjustable fuel pressure regulator.-

Beans, nope,i dont have a better shot but i can take a new one tomorrow.-
but all the cylinders looks pretty much the same, the hone its still there and
i removed some of the carbon of the pistons trying to wipe off the coolant
i accidentally let in when i removed the heads.-

Dont go to any trouble or anything.... I tore down an L98 several years ago that had a similar looking "rusty" type scale on the number two piston

I was just curious if they were all like that or if it was just a random occurrence...

Happy wrenching!

You can still see hone marks in the cylinders. That's a good sign!

Good luck with the project. Next time pull the knock sensor on the passenger side and the plug or fitting on the driver's side so coolant doesn't go everywhere including the cylinders. As suggested, shop vac that stuff out of there, dry the walls and WD40 them so they don't rust while you're waiting for the heads.
