I'm sorry about that, I've got a roommate whose swedish and I always call him the swede in response to being called a polock, I must have been talking to him right before I made that post. No offence ment, I mean it says The Finnish Corvette Portal at the bottom of all of your pictures I should have been able to figure it out.

It's weird, when I contacted summit racing they told me 2.25", but I guess its going to be a wait and see scenerio with those.

I take it the lesson learned from your collector bolts comming off was you just got heavy duty locking nuts for the bolts?

I just replaced those with standard ones, but I secured them with "double nuts":

Just to give you guys an update on the Gryz88 exhaust project....everything off. Cleaned head covers, exhaust ports and general bay work finished. The dipstick tube was a to get off.

Waiting for air pump delete bracket pulley from Midwest Motorworks...

The headers, and exhaust system won't be installed until Greg gets back around Thanksgiving....I might surprise him and replace the rear hubs that are bad....we'll keep it a surprise

Spiders have been attacking my car for the last year. We had HUGE financial setbacks.

But I am happy to report, since school's out for the summer I've been working and will be ordering the headers and dipstick Tuesday (5/29/10).

Should have header install updates by that weekend. Sorry about the delay, didn't want to give news until it was good news.

For the most part the header install went pretty smooth. There was a few hiccups maybe you guys could help me with. I used Copper Sealer on the gaskets.

Heres the pictures.

I wasn't sure the best location to mount this dipstick to. I assume I can't drill a hole and screw it into where its at now, I'm not even positive what it is that its on, but A/C coolant seems to run through it so I'm guessing that's a no...

We also had two plugs that went into the smog system that was ripped out. I'm not sure what I should do with them other then maybe tie them off. Will not having anything plugged into these throw a code?

We got the whole belt system reattached, tried to tighten the tensioner, it wouldn't go. Turns out the spring had gone bad. Then the whole thing just snapped. I believe I found a good replacement at Rock Auto.

Probably a blessing in disguise, better now then on the road. I did notice some unusual wear on the backside of it.

Since I couldn't find a spot on where this was rubbing...I assume that the belt was running across it. Any ideas on how/why this would happen?

As always, thanks for being patient on the length of this project, and thanks for all your guys help.
