Default Fuel Problems

This is what lead up to this.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c4-t...-problems.html

After I took the injectors off on my 84 to clean them and I put them back the car would not start. I would pour fuel down the throat and it would start. So I had someone else try to turn on the car while I watched the injectors. I noticed the passenger injector only dribbled when before it would spray. The driver injector would not even leak dribble or anything when before it too would spray. I took off the injectors and the holders were wet with fuel, so I believe fuel is getting upto the injectors just not pass them.

Is it possible I that I switched the injectors and that's causing the problems. I didn't know that each injector had a designated place, is this true? You can see fuel and bubbles in the screen on the injector.

You link does not work and your photo skills need improvement, can't tell much from pix.

As for you problem, make sure the electrical connections look good and are really making connection. It might also be possible you blew a fuse. The injectors might not be getting any voltage. I would look at the fuses that relate to the injectors, fuel system or computer.

Default Voltage

Thank you sir,

I ck'd fuses they were good. I saw the video in the link above about cking the injectors resistance (ohms) I'm gonna take them to work today and have someone ck them for me. I was also reading in the manual that if you switch the injectors they will not work is this correct, maybe this is what I did?

As they say, always recheck the last place you were at. Don’t know if swapping the injectors could pop the fuse. You wouldn’t think swapping them would make them not work but there must me a difference.

Fonzy,

You CAN NOT switch the injectors! They will not work at all if you switch them.

Default Injectors

Ok I switched them and the car fired up that's where I'm at with it. Noticed that the driver side injector was leaking all over the place. Ck'd looks like a crack in the gasket for the fuel pressure regulator (holder) $44.00 in autozone. Payday is on Thursday I'll but it, then post. At least it starts now. Now to take care of the the cherry red manifolds. Anyone heard of the heat risers?

Thanks for your help so far.
