I just flushed out the coolant on my 95 corvette. I put in new coolant and new thermostat. Now I see some coolant seeping out the drivers side upper bolt on the water pump. It is pooling on the water pump where the bolt goes in.
What do you recommend.
1. take bolt out and put more sealant
2. tighten bolt up more
3. other?

Try the easy and cheapest first. Retighten ALL the bolts on the WP first. If that doesn't work, you'll have to pull the WP, replace the gaskets and reseal them.
Make sure first, the leak is from the WP bolt.
This is a priority item as a leaking WP will eventually kill your Opti.

IF I remember right the torque is about 30 ft lbs on the bolts. Probably a bit more might not hurt but remember, the pump is aluminum and don’t put your full strength using a big ratchet.
