Has anyone done this? I know almost everyone that has an LSx motor in their C4 has went to analogue gauges but I'm one of those people that love the digital dash in my 84. So if anyone has experience with integrating their dash into an LSx harness any tips would be greatly appreciated.
It can be done, everything should work but the mpg and instant fuel economy.
If your not using a 700r4 I am not sure how or what you'll need for the speedo
why wouldn't the MPG and instant fuel economy not work?
The MPG and instant fuel economy are sent from the ECM, when you swap to an LS1 you have to use the LS1 ECM. The rest of the gauges are run by the sensors
You can share the key signals between the two ECMs. MAP, TPS, the LS1 PCM has a tach output that can be tied to the crank reference signal of the old ECM and the speed signals can be shared between the two as well. If it can't be shared you can used a Dakota Digital universal speed interface and share the signals that way.
