OK here is the deal. A few years ago I had the Spec steel flywheel and Stage 3 clutch and PP. It held very good but chattered every time you started out. So when I re-did the motor in 07, I used a McLeod dual friction disk because I ran that clutch before (when my motor was milder) with good success. Well I found out its not the clutch for this set up and its toast.
So I called Spec and he is recommending the Spec Stage 3+ clutch and said it is smoother than the regular Stage 3.
Looking for anyone with experience with this clutch. I know McLeod makes a twin clutch but it seems overkill for a motor making probably 500hp

The Spec 3+ clutch with LT1 Camaro steel flywheel have been in my 396 LT1 for the past two years. No chatter/grabs hard. Best clutch in 10 years of bracket racing. This is a popular clutch with the Fbody crowd of racers.
Went through alot of Mcleod dual friction clutches before the Spec 3+.
Haven't used one for the Corvette, but used to work for a shop that was a vendor for them, and we used the 3+ on other cars, and it worked nicely on turbo cars without annoying chatter.
