Default Ticking caused by throttle body gasket

The car idles low and stalls. I replaced the gasket and it has been nothing but trouble since. I do believe the gasket is loose because it makes a tick tick tick sound. Last time it did that, I had a hole in my exaust manifold. It sounds just like this ticking and no, it's not the injectors. Could a bad gasket cause that or no?

Just for records, the TPS is NOT the problem. Ask me how I know.

A throttle body gasket that is loose or leaking will not tick. As you discovered, a leak in the exhaust will tick. On the intake side, you will often get a whistle and an increased idle speed.

Why did you replace the gasket in the first place? Have you reset the IAC for base idle yet?

Have you pin pointed the sound? Harbor Freight, $5. You'll be amazed how clearly you can hear engine noises with these things.
