Default service engine light
Hi all I have a 86 with 43,000 miles lately i might go 10-20 miles and the sel will come on.stop some where come back out and start it and the light will be off. car runs fine the whole time. maybe go the next time 20-30 miles and it stays off. any thought would be appreciated

they say unless the light is on they cannt read it. they they dont store, is that right

My '86 is displaying a similar problem. It remembers codes 24 (speed sensor) and 34 (MAF). I just purchased scanner software and a cable to try troubleshooting.
