Is there any way to adjust the hood by the windsheild area, not for alignment purposes but for noise elimination. It's the only rattle source left besides the window cushions that will be taken care of next.
Moving the bumpers or the latch bolts can effect the latching of the hood. If you do this, be careful and do it in very small increments and be prepared to use one of those hood release tools if you go to far.
I recommend using shims under the latch(s) for adjustments in the windshield area and under the hinge(s) for front adjustments to raise the hood up slightly. Flat washers work fine.
For rattles and squeaks one method that has been successful for me is to look for rub areas (after awhile they go through the gel coat and show white) and cover them with the soft side of velcro tape. Hardware and building supply stores (Home Depot/Lowes etc) carry it in rolls with adhesive on it.
