I have the HSR and love it
.. thanks to LD85 and Joby So far it has only a few min's of run time but came across 2 minor problems I have to look into.
1) Check engine light is on. I quickly put my scan tool on it and the only thing it did was flash the "check engine" light 2 quick flashes then nothing. So I will have to hook up the laptop to see if I can get the code that way.
2) Coolant temp jumped right to 299 degrees within a min. I don't believe its accurate at this point so I'll have to look into that as well. Otherwise she runs

Did you try the old fashioned paper clip method to pull the codes?
Anyhow, a quick congrats.....ya done good. Can't wait to hear how it performs.
I wanted good documentation on this project, not only because is a CFI to HSR... BUT to show that even a wanna be could do it.
It also shows that with the EBL/Flash and its multiport upgrade any CFI owner can make a conversion very easily and have it look as is its been there the whole time. No more of these dragged out projects of trying to convert and changing harness and stuff. Reality is anyone can make this conversion in a matter of a weekend. It only took me this long because its winter here, I'm in no rush and also wanted to get some other things done while it was apart.
My next step is to compare the ET's between the Xram and HSR. (My bottom end is still the same). Once I do that I will get the Cam and Heads on that I have sitting here and get those numbers as well.
I'm hoping to get this thing on a dyno in the next couple of months. Once I do that I'll post that as well in this thread.
Thanks to all you forum members for your help on this....
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Mock up of HSR

Overall Height of the HSR

First Problem, Throttle linkage hits the fuel rail elbow. This is not allow the TB to return all the way. I will have to grind down the inside of the cable guide to allow it to return all the way.

Xram compared to the HSR

HSR sitting in place to start figuring out all the small stuff

What all do I have to have for a setup like this. I'm having a 383 Stroker with 385HP for my 84 Vette. I still have everything stock. Iwas wondering if the setup you have would be a better one, or If I should bore out the CFI to 51mm instead of 46mm with the hyper tech chip Stage II, put some higher PSI injectors and get something a little more horsepower and not have to change wires and ECM. I will be driving this car every day so I'm looking for something performance that can be driven every day.
Really love the build though! (Wish someone would give me an HSR Lol!) Peace. h
Yep, you could say it runs.....like a bat out of hell!...
I'll take advantage and update this thread a bit.
The motor is now a 388 that was built by PeteK
Pete, also built me a kick...butt tranny for it
All the tuning was done by Caboboy.
And even the AC works...
Btw: Belt gets changed every winter.
