Anybody ever repair a door?
I opened my door and caught a cememt post and the top edge broke off, now I need to repair it. I got some bondoglass and was wondering should I sand the broke edge smooth or leave ragged and should I sand the underside and if so, how much?

your better off getting a cheap deal on a used matching color door or reskinning yours. It doesn't look as hard to remove the outter skin and bonding a new one on verses repairing when you have never worked with fiberglass.

oem manufacturing process traps 'parting agent' inside all SMC panels...that parting agent precludes all future repairs of integrity...bondo or other cover-ups may hold for a short, even the best repair using 'fusor' (product of lord co.) will only be a temporary cosmetic one..in short, there is NO real fix for SMC damage.
There is a ton of information on the web site: greenwoodcorvettes.com Thats what they do for a living. They are even up for a phone call (short one). That web site carries all the products they use and name each one. When in the above site, go to
G4 hood instructions.
