Can anyone help me? As the final step in balancing the throttle bodies, I would like to check the voltage of the throttle position sensor. But all that I get from searching is pretty vague.
Since the 84 is pretty unique with some of its parts and procedures it wouldn't be a bad idea to get a Factory Service Manual. These can be had fairly cheap from guys on this forum and possible ebay.Trust me, it would be a big help...WW
Three TPS wires; use the TOP and Center to connect the digital volt meter. Ignition ON, engine OFF. Take a reading. You need to use a DIGITAL volt meter, not analog.
It should read .54 volts +/- .075 v. If not, loosen two screws and turn TPS until you get the reading you want. Tighten screws, then verify that voltage didn't change. Done.
