86 Headlight Motor Gears
I took apart the motors on my 86 Corvette to take a look at the condition of the Gears, as my Headlights wont pop up.
The Motors work and the Gears dont look that worn, sometimes playing with the manual adjustment **** will make them work.
Does the 86 use bushings or are there just really tight tolerances for the Gears that possibly I visually cant see?
Any Ideas ??????????????

The fact that you can sometimes make them work while playing with the manual ****, leaves me to believe it's a problem with a limit switch in motor housing. You may be able to do some electrical testing to prove this, or rule it out.

I had the magnet problem. One was broken in half and loose jamming the motor from spinning. I used super glue to glue the magnet back together and then epoxied it back in place. Replaced the gears while it was apart. Two years and they work fine. Mine is an 87.
