Much better combustion chamber and with the dual quench pad. Just no comparison. Lots of development has gone on in the last 20 or so years and put into the AFR head.

Ron (Cuisinartvette) is not running the 195's. Notice in the "Who's running AFR thread" that he mentions the possibility in a year/two.
Ron ports heads and is friends with Tony @ AFR. Between that and his building, he has access to both types of heads -- which is why he is able to post pics of both. Or...maybe he just cropped two pics from different sources as a side-by-side. IDK
Even though I'm friends with Ron, I'd have to wonder about the point of this thread. If you're going to post comparison pics, why not show the intake side as well? And, why not DESCRIBE the differences for people with untrained eyes?
For those who understand the differences, the pics may not be particularly enlightening. For those looking for reasons to pick an AFR over stock/ported heads, they may be clueless on what to look for. Without the explaination, I'm feeling spamed! LOL
no matter how much one ports they will never be
"the same as/about as good"
Wanting a set of AFRs is infectious - everyone wants a set once they see the flow numbers....I know I want a set. I wish AFR would raffle off a set here on the CF...but I guess you don't really have to do much marketing when you have a quality/performing product that sells on its own.
Side note:
You shouldn't put those 113s near a set of quality heads...poor performance is contagious....that's what that "red" goop is coming from the valves. Use some rubber gloves and respirator and get those 113s to the trash/scrap pile ASAP
