Bias spring worked great at CMP. Nice straight level breaking, even from 100 ish to 45 ish for a real slow corner. Before I would nose dive heavily for that turn.
That, and you can go a little deeper on the brakes on corner entry; I was surprised last track when I just expected oversteer when sheding speed from the straight.
I bought one to help offset the 6-piston front calipers. It helped. I don't know what it would be like to use on the stock brake setup? The rear brakes are pretty thin and small compared to the fronts, so I don't know how much more braking you can send to them before they are overworked?
But the caliper upgrade on the front of my car moved the brake bias heavily to the front, so this plus 13" rear rotors helped move it back.
Question..........If I install one of these is it going to make burn outs more difficult at the track? What's next if it does? Line Locks? Does it ever end........

I would think it would because now your back brakes are doing more work compared to the stock bias...

Not at all. I just hit the ASR OFF button. Just a little more revs, nothing else. Anyway, if you're into RoadRacing, it's of little priority to pull burnouts more easily; tires are more expensive than brake pads. If you're more into drag, that's what lock lines are for.

Once the mod bug bites... well... I'm afraid there is not a known cure.

Man, that's an understatement...... I just ordered AFR's this week.
Anyway, I installed this little spring today. It's up on stands at the moment cause I have a few other things I want to do but I'll give it a test run tomorrow and see if it helps any.

Thanks for all the replies.
I wonder if you will be able to feel the difference on the street? Keep us posted after your test drive (when you get the car back on the ground)

Went for a test drive today. I must still have some air in the lines because I have to pump it once to firm up the pedal. I can tell a difference though. I think I'm going to like this!
My Vette has the spring with the C5 brakes. In my videos at SCCA they kinda show how the front end doesnt dive. This video at the end I hit the brakes hard and it barely moved.
Hawk pads, BFG KD's with QA1 shocks on stiff. http://www.youtube.com/watch#!v=y_br...eature=related
Your right... Mine is daily driver... I bet you race!
Its my DD and I don't race but I do drive spiritedly. The bias spring has allowed me to comfortably take one of the turns on my daily commute a few miles an hour faster than before the bias spring... The only parts changed on the brake system at that time were a fluid change and installation of DRM bias spring and DRM stainless brake lines.

DRM Brake Bias Spring $12.95
Good things often come in small packages. A lot of thought and successful racing experience went into the design of the DRM BrakeBias spring. Easily installed, this spring effectively puts more rear brake into your Corvette, giving you shorter stopping distances and more equalized front-to-rear brake pad wear. Also by having the rear pads do more work, front end nose-dive is reduced. This results in greater stability and vehicle control under extreme braking.
