Default Heated outside mirrors.

Did all 1987 Coupes come with heated outside rear view mirrors on both sides? Is the heating mechanism electric or is hot air ducted out somehow to the mirrors? Is there a way of checking if the heating mechanism is working? Thanks

they come on when you turn rear defroster on. The element is an electric backing to the mirror itself...the easiest way to check them is to feel if the mirrors are warm after about 5 minutes...

Not all 87's came with heated mirrors. Do the mirrors have the icon in the corners ?

Thanks guys. The mirrors do have the icon. I will check the mirrors as soon as I can find the car. It's under about 4 feet of snow right now.

Just had our second 20+ inch snow storm within 5 days. Were starting a pool at work for the max number of inches for the year. We figure at least two more 20+inch storms and could be way more. It's only Feb 11th and we've been having NorEaster's once or twice a month since October. They were rain and now have turned into snow. They're talking "measurable" snow on Monday.

ugh, I hope not, I'm almost officially out of places to throw this crap. My vette's under a carport and still got an inch or two on it...
