Default Oil leak ?

I have a bad leak on the back side of the engine, it drains right down over the filter. I just redid the intake and oil pressure sensor and it does not seem to be coming from either, but the leak got worse after I redid the intake.
Could I fixed one thing and caused another to get worse or did f-up and not seal it correctly?

If the oil leak wasn't there before there is a good chance it has progressed from what you got into. Feel around the top of the back block on the driver's side where the intake meets the block and check for the oil source. Could be the valve cover gasket also so check the gasket seal on the head.

A lot of leaks occur from the back of the intake. Clean the area, run the motor and see if the leak originates there. Did you put a gasket under the distributor?

Default Oil Leak

I use to have the same problem. Turned out to be the gasket on the oil filter connector plate. If you take off the oil filter, then take the round top piece the oil filter seal attaches to off, you will find a gasket between the plate and the engine. Replace it.

First thing I'd do is to clean off any evidence of the leak to start with a CLEAN area. This can be done by using sprays, like carb cleaner, brake cleaner, etc. Anything that's on sale/cheapest; get a few cans.

What you need to find is the starting point of the leak because the oil can get thrown around to areas that aren't actually leaking.

Although I've never used it, some guys use an oil additive that makes locating the leak location easier. Most auto parts stores sell it.

Once you find the location of the leak you can then figure out how to fix it. That'll depend on where the leak actually is.

Hope this helps.

That is what I am thinking, I cannot see or feel a leak on the intake and is that the name of the piece. Need to get this fixed, always had leaks on this engine and I am trying to eliminate them one at a time.
