Take an air grinder to it......
This is my old stock plenum after removing the ridge. I also gasket matched the runners to the gaskets and the plenum to the gaskets. It will not yield large HP gains...but it will help air flow. Better than leaving it stock.

John's right take a grinder or dremel to it and get rid of it. There are alot of little things that can be done to help these cars run better. Check out www.corvetteplenum.com and look at Mike's works of art. They are sweet and flow real good. He CNC's his.
