Default Need help with head light ****

I'm getting ready to try the batee fix. I know there is a slot on the side of the **** but, what exactly am I supposed to do? I fooled with it for an hour and couldn't get it off.

The retainer is a spring clip.

Use a small allen wrench that will fit in the slot.

Pull the allen towards you to release the tension on the clip & pull the **** off.

Just push the **** back on.

Thanks very much, the **** is off and the cluster is out. Are you familar with the clusters? The speedo digital display is orange in the first two boxes and green in the third. Currently I can only see the digit that's green. The scale does not display anything. Is it a waste of time to re-solder everything and change the bulbs without replacing the LCD's? The others all work but if I did replace this one, would it look OK?
Thanks again,
Pete

Cannot help with the display repair, suggest using the forum search feature.

Looks like you may have recently joined the forum.

How to narrow your search.

In the red title bar click on search.

In the new window click on advanced search.

The next window will have a box in the upper left corner "Search by Keyword."

Type in something like dash repair or lcd display etc.

Go to the "search in forums" window lower right.

Scroll down to C4 forums & click on it.

Click on search now @ the bottom of the page.

Hope this helps & good luck with your repair.

Sounds like you have a sunburned display and I believe has to be replaced, as there is no fix for that issue that I am aware off. Try reading it through a pair of Polarized glasses and see if you can read the orange box's.
