Can you feel the difference? Was it worth the trouble?

I dont know if I can
feel a difference in the brake pedal, but if you grab your old rubber line and have someone hit the brake pedal, the rubber ones swell quite a bit. Since I race it was good assurance for me to switch to SS.

I ordered a set from Corvette Central along with other stuff. But it seems $100-$125 is about average price. Though the ones from CC say made in America on them
, I think they were $110. But other above have good suggested places too.

I think steel braided lines are well worth it.
When I got my 89 vette over a dozen years ago, the stock brakes werent very good,
to say the least. I could tell a difference on the feel with the steel lines.
I later upgraded rotors, pads, and rebuilt all the calipers.
Now my brakes are unbelievable, the expression stopping on a dime is now true.
Good product in the overall brake system package.

Just a note: the brake line is still rubber. Its just covered with the pretty stainless steel braid.

Every stainless line I've seen is lined with teflon....
...and don't expand under pressure like rubber brake lines*
Mike
*While I'm sure the stainless does expand however, I've never seen one visibly expand, whereas, I've seen rubber hoses visibly expand

Ordered a set earlier today from Mike Yeager at East Coast Performance. Very helpful and gave me a great deal!

Since you will already have to bleed your brakes, I suggest you give DRM a call and order a brake BIAS spring for your car.

Also, if you don't have them already order some Speed Bleeders. It'll make the job a whole lot easier.

I bled my brakes using speed bleeders for the first time this past weekend. WOW! So much simpler!

Speed bleeders are great. Bought 2 from Napa and a couple more came with my J55 setup. I could never get the things to seal correctly so I always put back in the original bleeder screw valve when I’m done bleeding.
I noticed one day that the original bleeder had a longer thread shank thus allowing it to go deeper into the caliper and contact the seat tightly. Don’t know if anyone has had this situation also. It does not matter to me, I don’t need to bleed that often.
The speed bleeders also work great on my Chevy truck.

I'd get the Earl bleeders over the Speed Bleeders. They look like a better design.
