Default clutch problems

I may be a little crazy, ill admit. i have a mildly built 327 and the 4+3 transmission in an 87 mazda b2600. i have mated the clutch master cylinder (stock mazda) to my new slave cylinder (stock vette) with the proper line. the clutch system isnt pushing the fork very far, approximately 1/4 inch.

i dont have the fork pushrod that is supposed to be in it, i just made on from a master pushrod i had, but i dont know what the length is supposed to be. does anyone know what this rod's length is supposed to be?

also, i dont know the exact measurements of the vette master or the mazda master but they appear to be the same size. does anyone know the dimensions of the vette master cylinder?

I would bet the master is too small, I think you need at least a 11/16 ID master

thank you. i know the vette slave is something like 1 1/16", but no ides on the mazda master. ill take it off and measure it. if its too small, ill get a vette master and modify it to fit. do you know how lond the fork pushrod is?

The Vette master self adjusts at the end of the return stroke, does the Mazda master do the same ?

I think getting the matching Vette master, would be time well spent.

I am not sure if he means the Master Slave rod that connects to the upper clutch pedal or the Slave Push rod

in just a few minutes i had the makeshift slave pushrod out. i measured it and to my surprise it is identical in length. so i can only naturally assume that this is not my problem.
now im gonna take out my master cylinder and measure the bore and stroke.

UPDATE:
the bore of my master cylinder is 11/16". with a stroke of about 1 3/4". is that in the ballpark of the vette master?

11/16 = YES, 1-3/4 = no

Go down to Autozone, ask for a 84-88 master salve and measure it.
