Just a heads up for any one wanting to put a 144 in a c4. you have to cut the snout down to run the blower off the vettes belt. the blower was intended to run off of a extension pulley that comes with it, but no clearance for it in a c4. I will post more pic L8R.
I like the idea, but I have come to appreciate the stock hood line and don't like anything sticking out of it, or a high-rise for that matter.
Although the roots blower will give you a decent amount of bottom-end power, The belt routing is not ideal (need more belt wrap).
keep us posted! I still would love to see a whipple blower!
Im just the opposite, i grew up with mad max. wish i could afford a 6-71. you really dont need to see where your going and good eye i am adding a tensioner.
hopefully the next posts will be dyno sheets!
If youve had/driven a roots blower car you wont give a ratts butt about the stock hoodline. OP your car is going to be a friggin blast youll love it. Funnest part is the blowers arent real noisy until you get on it .
Hitting passing gear while next to someone youll scare em half to death
That cams been around forever Edelbrock used it as their Performer RPM cam. Maybe not optimal but the blower wont care too much it wil force the air through. You should make better than 400 at the wheel with lotsa torque.
It will like a smaller cam but its already in there so go run it and have fun.
Edit: whoa those specs are for the flat tappet cam check and make sure you have roller lifters you were billed for them...unless that exact cam comes in a roller but Id guess not.
