fan switch
i bought a adjustable temperture control switch to turn my radiator fan earlier than it does, but im worried it will keep the check engine light on
will this happen? anyway around it?

Adding a low temp fan switch to your 93 will set code 28 for quad driver module circuit #3, but as rodj indicated it will not illuminate the check engine light. Just be aware that the code will be stored when you scan for DTC's.
A better alternative would be to have your chip tuned to lower the fan on/off temp setting, a good tuner may also pick up a few horsepower by changing spark advance and fuel map.
