Basic setup, 350 Afr 190 58cc Ling 219 S/R(stock base,heavily ported) 1 5/8"
Edelbrocks 48mm tb and 1.5 rockers. How much realistic gain will I see to go
to a Accel base, 58mm tb and 1.6 rockers? Is that base that much better than
a heavily ported stock base? Help please.
I think that 48mm is going to rain on your HP party. The throttle body and the 1.6's will make a difference. I can't say for sure cause I'm a MR kinda guy.
Actually something did rain on it. I had it dyno'd yesterday and the numbers fell short of what I expected. 272hp @ 5200 and 306tq @ 4300. Air/fuel was pretty good between 12.3 and 12.6 throughout full power. Trying to see what the major culprits are.
In my research and testing, the stock lower intake on the TPI system is the weakest link. The runners and plenum are ok, but the lower intake is very restrictive.
I plan on replacing my lower intake very soon and I will provide track results.
