I am up for the brackets (004, I can paint them myself). What is the likelihood that a GP for the C5 components can be worked out with Jeff? I know there was a GP for the GS upgrade several months ago, but If everyone who was buying the brackets also bought the C5 components from Jeff, I would think we could get a bit of a deal there too, perhaps on the new performance rotors. Either way I am 100% in for the GP on the OO4 brackets. (gonna hafta buy new wheels tho, I have '88 16' sawblades)
Anyone that wishes to particpate in this group purchase of brake adapters to install C5/Z06 calipers on the C4's, or see if they are already listed as desiring to participate, go to this post: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/zerothread?id=260816
(post now corrected, I apologize for listing the wrong URL)
Just remember guys, if you race NCCC and do this brake conversion you have bumped yourself into Group III Race Prepared Altered Frame. That means you need a full roll cage, not just a roll bar. You also need a full fire suit and an extinguisher (I don't know why anybody would be without an extinguisher tho). Just food for thought. And, the GS brakes are a wee bit better than J55, in answer to somebodies question above. I'm not trying to get anybody not to do the conversion. I have heard the C5 are great brakes. Just make sure ya know that if you want NCCC points.
