I started replacing my weatherstrips on my 86 last week and whoever was there last must have worked in a glue factory becasue there was no shortage of it!
once i finally got all the rubber off there was still a mess of glue everwhere...
im thinking it would be easier to order new tracks then waste hours picking away at the glue.
I just did my A & B pillars on my 95 I made some tools to scrape out the retainers used goo on was not that bad. You can get them at one of the GM part stores online or try Wilcox

Use some laquer thinner to help loosen up the glue. Its not that bad. But the key is to have them cleaned perfectly so the new W/S can "float" in the channel. Also when I install the new W/S, I cut a 2 inch piece of a new bondo applicator to help with the install.
