A/C control problems need help
On my friends 87 c4 when he turns the ac down it just go's back up we are thinking replacing the control panel would fix this problem are we right?

Is it the fan speed or temperature setting that has a mind of its own?
Either way if you can see the indicator change on the display on its own then a stuck button or buttons is most likely the cause. Try to depress related the problematic function button firmly and semi agressively and see it that does the trick to unstick the button's contact pad. If not you'll need to pull the face plate and take it apart to clean the contacts and/or realign the contact pad strip.
