http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/co...cmljZSU3QzE%3D
between those, which is better? the one made out of titanium or the other one? my budget on headers are 1,000 dollars. and i will be installing it. On the left side i see more parts than i do on the right, is their a difference in that? maybe i should get the one with all the small parts or no?

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts
"I talked with Merle yesterday and they have just started a new GP for their new design headers. They have a few new cool options. You can add a true merge collector to the headers for $150.00 extra. I've been told its good fo another 5-10+ HP and Tq. This time for the guys who want a 1 5/8" header they can also do this for the GP price. If you do not want any emissions bungs they can omit these for you as well. Merle wanted me to go ahead and post the GP info so here it is. Get your orders in right away he is going on vacation on the 10th of this month.
Exotic Muscle is offering a group purchase on Lt1/L98 Full length headers. Price is normally $771.00 the GP is $671.00 a $100.00 saving for Corvette forum members.
Details: Only 10 sets are offered for Group purchase and after they are gone price goes back up to $771.00. Headers are paid for in advance buy contacting Merle @ Exotic Muscle 480-967-4222. Please leave a message if we do not answer right away. EM accepts Visa, M/C, Amex and money orders. Headers will be shipped in aprox. 6 weeks.
Stats: The headers are ceramic coated inside and out. They come with a 1 3/4" primary tube with 3" slip fit collectors. The headers have o2 sensor bungs and air tube fittings. The flangs are 3/8" thick.
Options: EM offers a slip fit header extension that will adapt to a Corsa cat back or the stock exhaust. They are offered 2 ways, header extensions coated w/out high flow cats ($270) and extions coated w/cats ($549.00). Felpro exhaust gaskets and Stage 8 bolt fasteners are also available".

Then I read your note EM I'm thinking since they are doing a group discount now I'm leaning toward them. Do you feel this is the right move and if you do what about the bigger cats would they make a difference or should I save the money. I want headers to just have them, the larger cats I just don't I would really appreciate your thoughts. I talked to Merle yesterday very nice person, I told him I would let him know on Monday, Thank you

Great fit and no ground to header clearance issues.
Stainless Works also has headers but they're pricey!

I had 3" x 3 bolt header collector flanges welded to the TPIS header and exhaust pipe. The header side flange is loose and the exhaust pipe side welded. This allows the headers to be taken off independent of the exhaust system if you pull the engine, replace the starter, pull the tranny or any othe engine / tranny related work requiring removal of the headers. I also use the solid aluminim gaskets which are reusable and don't leak.
I would also suggest that you make sure the starter wiring, if fact all wiring (.e.g o2 sensor, knock sensor, low oil, etc.) be carefully routed away from the headers. You can also add thermal sleeving to the wires for extra protection.
You can find all sorts of thermal protection for starters and wiring online at Summit Racing.

Mine still look great after more than five years of Daily Driver duty
