I don't know...talking about polished and coated in the SAME thread? Sounds risky!
Edit: Misunderstood original post. Actual polishing of headers isn't something I've tried yet. That might be a good question for the Jet-Hot rep who's posted here a few times. I can try to find a thread if you like. (In it, we were talking about the risks of using new, coated headers during a break-in.)
If you can even do it, I'd be thinking fine steel wool might be the first step.

Mine are Jet-Hot coated. You've probably seen the recent pics. Sterling Silver is the "color" IIRC.
I don't really have any experience with this guys but I know anytime you use compound/abrasives on a coating you are taking off the top coat to expose/polish whats underneath. I don't think I would do that on the headers often. Just my 2 cents

Sorry I am late for the party gentleman!!! Mothers Aluminum Polish works GREAT for any polished coating. ALTHOUGH it will not bring back the shine if the parts have turned a flat gray. This only tends to happen when the coating was over heated and the metallic substrate was cooked right out of the ceramics.
Hi save your money, they don't work. I bought a used set of headers and tried I beleive it was cerma glow. it was made polishing coated headers anyway. Didn't bring back chrome finish by it self. I also tried sanding with 1500 grit wet sandpaper first. That worked a little better but still didn't bring back the chrome finish.Good luck Tim
