Default Keyless Entry Tip

If your remote seems intermittent or requires a shake to work, try cleaning the motion switch:
Open the remote case. The switch is the gold tit thing between the buttons. There is a small ball in there so don't lose it when you take the cover off. Remove the whole circuit board from the case and turn it over. Push the 2 gold tabs to pop off the cover. Clean with alcohol and reassemble. The ball is gold plated too(mine was grey with dirt).

Merrick:
I have a 96 CE with the PKE system. Occasionally it goes into "flutter" mode ... the door locks partially open close at high frequency - or chatter. Do you suppose this tip has any bearing on that quirk? Thanks. Cire96
