Hypertech Programming ?

I bought a 96 Vette that came with a HPP, and the owner was not sure if it was downloaded to his car. I sold the unit to another guy, and apparently it had been downloaded to the car I bought. Is there any way to make it work without having the previous car?Thanks for any help...

Without the original car that it programmed the only way to make it work is send it back to Hypertech to have them reset it. Which may cost more than it's worth.

I do have access to the original car. So do i just go hook it up to it, and restore that car to factory settings?

Yes. The programmer stores the original car's VIN and PCM file, once that is restored the programmer can be used on another car.
