TTS Datamaster sync problem with 92 Vette

TTS Datamaster sync problem with 92 Vette
92 LT1 auto, TTS Datamaster version 4. When I try to log data it syncs up, then goes out, resyncs etc etc.
TTS says to change the serial recieve and transmit timeouts from zero to 180.
Any other suggestions as I am trying to use my netbook with this, and my large laptop works fine with same OS, but older laptop. The netbook is an ASUS and all USB ports work fine. I have used TTS for years, but never had this problem with this cable. The only thing different is the laptop, yet bot laptops us WXP.

I had that problem with version 4.0
I rolled back to version 3.51 and all is well again.
I''ve been using a Asus EEE 1000HD for a couple of years now..
