Fail safe thermostat i used once failed the same day in the open position, great it did work as intended but i had scrape off all the sealant and get a new gasket and bleed the cooling system all over again on a mini van i used as a daily driver.
Another time i used an autozone thermostat, it failed on a business trip 1 1/2 hour away from home at night !!!! in the closed position, mustang over heated and i did not have triple A at the time, ( needless to say i have the premium membership now ! ) I was lucky i didn't blow a head gasket !! Replaced it with a motorcraft one i bought at the dealer, it worked great until i sold the car.
Go with a stant or delco or major brand thermostat from the dealer for any car you have, well worth the peace of mind for a few dollars more !
