I checked my spare tire on my 86 for the first time since I owned the car, two years now. Not only was the
tire flat but the top bead had broken loose and the tire was filled with water!! Must have weighed 40 pounds!!!
I'm taking it in to get it broken down to see if the rim is ruined. The tire looks pretty well gone. I don't know if you can buy one
of these tires or if you have to buy the tire and rim together. It doesn't look like the tire has ever been used.
i plan on removeing my spare & the ugly cover that hides all the beautiful suspension parts, not only will i shave weight but everything (suspension parts) looks awsome if you polish it.jd did this to his vette & i will soon follow. :yesnod:
My goodness that is bright. Just where do you install all the batteries to keep it shinning? In that big thing in the center? Just kidding, looks real nice and a awful lot of work.
Donno why, I edited it and said I deleted the clamps...simply put a bead of weld on there now,and things are good. Just a little scubbin' some mothers polish and thats how things turned out. The mounts are Red becuase I wasn't sure I was going to go Admiral Blue.Still looks good though :D
WOW JD!!!!!!!!
That looks soooooo good!
I am gonna go take off my carrier now too! Maybe I'll polish also.
Cheers to you for all that work!
since some nitpicking is going on :D :jester there is one bolt on the rear cover that is black and the others are shiny. sorry 'bout that
