ok so its not really guacamole but its the best way to describe it. there seems to be a build up of this stuff around the heater hose going into the throttle body. anyone know what is or what caused it. my guess is old coolant? check out the photos below. Tortilla chips not included
Probably not *old* coolant - looks like it is time to replace some coolant hoses and clamps - I notice what looks likes a swollen hose next to the clamp and definitely a badly checked hose as you are illustrating in your last image. There could be a pin-hole causing the leak on the pressure side of the clamp in your first image.

Replace any hose that has this kind of seepage before it bursts!

IIRC it was 1996 when the general went to dexcool. Most of our cars use the green stuff.
The mix with green and dexcool doesnt look like that. That is something new to me.
How does it looks inside the coolant tank/reservoir?
thats the only place its like that. i took off the water pump and the inlets on the block are clean too. I dont know if overheating could cause it but i did slightly over heat about two weaks ago. since ive had the car its only had green coolant.
Looks likes a type of hose grease used to prevent corrosion and to keep the hoses from getting stuck to the fittings...
That is a grease of some type - coolant may have gotten mixed with it to taint the color. Hoses can be tough to slip over some of those nipples often times a light dab of grease is added to ease them into place.
In the other pic it looks like rust has migrated inside the IAC housing coolant tube like the H20 % to coolant percentages have been "off" (too much water not enough coolant) for awhile so most likely there is a leak in the coolant system that required frequent topping off.
the only time I have seen anything that resembles that was because of the A/C stuff leaked everywhere. Your a/c working ok? The orange/green mixing of anti freezes results in a chocolate looking sorta globby crap.
